MOONWAVE is currently not available for charter. Next planned destinations are North America & Caribbean Islands. Moonwave will cruise the Bahamas, Caribbean and North Atlantic for the foreseeable future. Please visit the News section of this website for posts from the most recently visited places.
Where can I charter MOONWAVE ?
How many guests can MOONWAVE accommodate?
Moonwave is built to comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests in 4 queen-bed cabins with a total of 3 heads [bathrooms]. Two permanent crew will provide five-star service to our guests. The yacht also features a number of daybeds and lounging areas in the salon and aft cockpit that invite you to relax.
Where is MOONWAVE's home base?
MOONWAVE is registered in Road Harbour, Tortola, British Virgin Islands. Moonwave is a world cruiser with it’s own crew. She is roaming the oceans and does not spend much time in harbors.
What is the charter availability?
Charter requests are welcome anytime but the next availability is winter season 2018/19 in the Caribbean Islands. Please contact the crew via the contact form for availability.
How much does it cost to charter MOONWAVE?
Normally we charge a weekly all-inclusive fee that covers everything — yacht, toys, crew, gourmet cuisine, drinks, five-star service. The cost depends on the season, please contact us for more details. One week charter is the minimum, although occasionally we can adjust the length to your requests, depending on locations and availabilities. The crew expects a tip on top of the fee.
What should I bring for the trip?
Less is more. Our suggestion:
- Light, UV-blocking clothing
- Swim shoes
- Sailing shoes
- Hat or base cap
- Sun screen — creams only (please do not bring sprays)
- Cash for dining out and tips (Dollars work everywhere)
- Seasickness medication, if you need it
- Your music (on iPhone/iPod/iPad or USB stick)
- If you like gadgets, download the NMEAremote app to your iPhone
- Some countries require visas
There is limited storage space for hard case luggage. Use a soft duffel bag, not more than one per person.
