f you see Moonwave at the anchorage – chances are high that her professional crew, Sophie & Sébastien, aren’t far. Both of them share a passion for sailing, the ocean gourmet cooking and first-rate hospitality. Both are seasoned sailors who have done their share of cruising together in Asia, in the Atlantic and the Caribbean. They have extensive experience crewing on some of the most famous and luxurious yachts and look forward to making everyones stay on board Moonwave as comforotable and unforgettable as possible. They love to share there knowledge of water sports and activities and pamper everyone. They also like to keep Moonwave in perfect shape and up-to-date.
Originally from France, Sébastien has taken his passion for boats and yachts to a superior level by studying naval architecture. Moonwave and her systems have no secrets for him. He has worked for several years as captain and engineer as well sailing teacher and enjoys sharing the knowledge he has gained on a wide range of yachts – from small sailing boats, motoryachts, performance sailing yachts to Superyachts. One of his passions are cargo ships (with big engines), others are skiing, paragliding and also restoring his motorbike.
Sophie is from Austria, a country that has a tradition of excellence in hospitality, gastronomy and tourism, which have influenced her career choices. She has a Master degree in Tourism Management and years of experience working in top-notch hotels and five-star resorts. She is a trained chef with a passion for cooking and fresh food. Sophie loves scuba diving (dive master certification), underwater photography and other watersports. She also worked as a sailing teacher and holds a Yachtmaster’s license.
